Made of 4130 aeronautical grade tube with stainless steel booster/blast chamber assembly, and primary blast baffle. The remainder of the baffles, and front end cap, are made of 7075 hard anodized aluminum. The Dark Op .45 caliber suppressor has been field tested against several products that cost half again as much, and have claims to match. So far, the Dark Op has out performed those units by 1.5 to 3 dB, and has demonstrated a lower pitched report as well.
This is important. Under normal conditions, the human ear is more sensitive to higher pitched sound whereas, even a slightly lowered pitch tends to blend more easily into natural field noise.
